SNOW IS MORE THEN WATER

Surprise your loved ones with a cool and different night in perhaps one of Swedens most romantic hotel - Igloo Åre. Here you are welcomed with a hot drink, dinner in the cold igloo and a hot spa bath before it is time to curl up in sleeping bags and spend the night in one of our igloos. In the morning you will up asleep to a different breakfast in the wintry snowscape.

We open our area at the beginning of January, and it closes in the middle of April. 

OVERNIGHT STAY IN AN IGLOO

Igloo Åre is built of natural snow that is built up again every year. Therefore, it will never look the same from year to year. Igloo Åre takes about 3000 hours to build and our work is started as soon as Mother Nature to release sufficient amounts of snow.

Snow has normally a temperature of about 0 to minus a few degrees. The snow is a good insulator against any temperature fluctuations, which means that the temperature inside the igloo rarely changes significantly. When it is full of guests and everyone eats hot food the temperature may rise slightly but is soon back down to normal.

WINTER WEDDING

A wedding at the Igloo Åre can be shaped by your ideas and wishes. During the end of December and all of January, it will be soon dark outside, creating a lovely setting with live fires and another lighting. A small stall bell ringing and it is time to walk along the snow-covered time down to the wedding location. Maybe play someone on a harmonium or organ trunk at the entrance music you have chosen.
